ARTIST STATEMENT
“The Light of the Son” 60 x 60 inches. There’s more to this painting than what meets the eyes. But I can’t tell you what it is. As it is in life, you have to find when you are truly looking for. This painting makes me very, very happy! I enjoyed every second of every single brush stroke. It never felt like a work that needed to be completed. On the contrary, it just felt like I was back in that place, submerged in that trail where I took this photograph and thought to myself if I ever would be able to transport all the beauty I was beholding with my eyes into the canvas. I believe I might have done it. With the Lord’s help, as always. I just have to say it but, lucky is the one who will own this piece"
