JEFFREY STAPLETON Has intricately woven hundreds of images...

In "Calm," Stapleton’s hapless subjects navigate their environments with endearing resilience, offering a multi-layered insight into the human condition. Through his mosaic style, combining digital elements, paper, glue, and oil sticks, everyday images acquire an uncanny, portentous, and sometimes humorous air. Stapleton’s characters, enigmatic and wholly themselves, stand as testaments to our collective capacity for finding tranquility amidst chaos.

Jeffrey Stapleton’s art is a celebration of storytelling and the beauty of calm found in life’s simple, yet profound moments. His work, much like his life, is deeply rooted in creativity and the joy of making, embodying a heartfelt connection to art and humanity.

"Calmness is the mental state of peace of mind being free from agitation, excitement, or disturbance. Calmness can most easily occur for the average person during a state of relaxation, but it can also be found with a nice chai latte or a chilled Snickers bar."

JEFFREY STAPLETON

"Calm" by Jeffrey Stapleton transcends the everyday concept of relaxation to explore the profound serenity found in moments of stillness. Calmness, defined as a mental state of peace, free from agitation or disturbance, is beautifully encapsulated in this piece. For many, calmness may be fleeting—a warm chai latte, a chilled Snickers bar—but Stapleton’s art invites a deeper, more enduring experience.

As viewers engage with "Calm," they are invited to appreciate not only the technical mastery behind its creation but also to reflect on the intricate layers that intertwine the past, present, and future. Each element of the mosaic—crafted from glue, paper, oil, and gold leaf—speaks to the delicate balance of life and the safeguarded potential that unfolds within its depths.
